Conservation and Restoration - magnifiers (headbands)
These brand new head magnifiers are manufactured by Donegan Optical Company and the name is a registered Trademark. The glass lens plates are ground and polished to precision ophthalmic standards. The unit is fully adjustable for any size and leather lined giving years of comfort. The visor is both lightweight and impact resistance and adjusting knobs hold it in your preferred viewing position whilst still allowing you to quickly and easily flip it up for normal viewing. Use the chart on the right to find which Optivisor that will be most suitable for your needs by comparing the Optivisor DA2, Optivisor DA3, Optivisor DA4, Optivisor DA5, Optivisor DA7, Optivisor DA10 and Optiloupe attachment against the image as seen by normal vision.
Genuine accessories are available that include a range of interchangeable replacement magnifying lens plates and the Optiloupe attachment that will boost your view by a further 2.5X.

This is a genuine accessory. This light, with a battery pack and 10 lead, is designed to mount on to the top of the Optivisors and used to illuminate the magnified viewing area. It has 6000 candle power with a Zenon Laserbeam giving it 5 to 6 hours usage. Rechargeable batteries recommended to be used with this unit. Batteries not included.

This design offers 3 built in lenses giving 4 magnifications. The lightweight magnifier has a main lens, a flip down auxilary lens and a swing down circular loupe. The main plate gives 1.8X and 3.7X when using the circular loupe. Flip down the auxilary to get 2.3X through both lenses and 4.8X with the circular loupe. Adjustable velcro headband strap and the lens frame tilts upwards when not in use.
