Ceramics Restored
Conservation and Restoration - about us
We at Ceramics Restored offer you a professional restoration and conservation service that is able to deal with the care and repair of all types of china, pottery and porcelain and is situated on the outskirts of Exeter, in Devon, and only minutes from Junction 29 of the M5 giving very easy access to main routes throughout the UK.
I joined
the antiques trade in 1996 and spent a couple of years as a regular antiques fair exhibitor at a variety of events including the well known and popular
Shepton Mallet antique fairs and also held a regular weekly base at Taunton Antiques Market with a preference towards pottery and porcelain.
During this time it was hard to ignore how much damage and restoration that could be found when sourcing stock and it was this
side of it that caught my interest to the point that I wanted to learn more about the role of the ceramic restorer. I researched into, located and enrolled on a 2 year ceramic restoration
course in 1998, being taught by an experienced London restorer/conservator, studio owner and active member of the UKIC (now Institute of Conservation ICON) and
I sucessfully gained my NOCN level 3 accreditation
in 'Ceramic Restoration and Conservation' during the summer of 2000. Since then I have gained lots of valuable experience of many types
of wares and procedures, realised a natural ability to matching original colourways and decor and through this
have continued to build on repeat business from trade and private clients as well as doing my fair share of
insurance work.

Although our core business remains very firmly with ceramic repair, we have over the last couple of years introduced a range of brand new products for sale that I believe would be of interest to anyone involved with antiques and collectables. Initially these products were sourced for my own use, however, due to their excellent quality, I am very happy to offer these brand new items for sale to my customers. These products can be viewed on our sales products pages within the website. Payments can be made through any of the major credit cards and through PayPal and on completion of your purchase the items will be delivered to your door.
